CLOSED

I've just got an ermail from google adsense team:

> Hello Dmitry,
>
> Our specialists regularly review partners participating in the AdSense
> network. After a thorough review of your account, our specialists found
> that your business model is not a good fit for the AdSense program.
>
> Our specialists were concerned with your sites showing Google ads. Ads
> were consistently placed on sites that had little content or which
> existed primarily to display Google ads, and the placement of ads on
> such pages is prohibited by AdSense policies...

Wow.. I have no any word...

They banned me for displaing their ads at my search feeds. Yep, I agree that those sites aren't very content rich but I placed google ads at those feeds during over two years and they had no any claims (however I defenitely know my account was reviewed by google earlier). But again those my feeds - its NOT made for adsense, I display there 10 or more links taken from some pay-per-click search engines.

Anyway, all of visitors clicking on agsense ads were highly targeted and interested and CTR reached up to 40% sometimes. As I think, it is good not only for me - advertisers have got interested visitors and google have earned their money...

It is said in their TOS that site must be content rich.. But what does it mean exactly? I think, it is personal: it depends will someone be banned or not on sole decision of sole reviewer. I was not very lucky this time, I was reviewed by some stu(.)id a(.)ses. And their rules are to NOT reopen closed accounts...

So, even if I'm very suprised it is time to stop pour out to emotions.
And its time to stop this blog too. It was not very popular and I have to say many thanks to my few readers

This blog is closed
Sincerelly yours,
Dmitry

Top 10 Wordpress Plugins for AdSense

Google Adsense is the most popular method of monetizing your blog. Because of it’s popularity, a number of plugins have been developed that help you easily integrate AdSense ads into your Wordpress blog. Listed below are what I consider to be the best AdSense plugins.

  • AdSense-Deluxe - Offers advanced options for managing the automatic insertion of Google AdSense or Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN) ads to your WordPress posts. There is also AdSense Deluxe+ which claims to be a slightly improved version of the original AdSense-Deluxe Wordpress Plugin. The main difference is an improved ad limiting algorithm.

  • AdSense Injection - Takes a random paragraph (or br tag) break in your post and inserts AdSense code. It does one per story on multi-post pages (home, archive, category) and let’s you pick how many to show on single post pages. You can also specify how many total ads to show on a page (0-3).

  • AdSense Inline - Allows you to display AdSense ads in individual posts.

  • AdSense Beautifier - Makes your AdSense ads look beautiful by placing images beside them which can increase your CTR (click through rate). Please note that this practice may violate Google’s policy on images near ads. You can find discussion on this topic at JohnTP.com.

  • MightyAdSense - Allows you to host your AdSense code in Wordpress without having to modify any templates. The ads are automatically displayed in your posts. You can control the location of the ads and specify how many ads are shown on a page. I use this plugin and love it.

  • AdRotator Wordpress Plugin - Displays a randomly selected ad at your chosen location. Can be used to rotate your AdSense ads with other affiliate programs like Yahoo! Publisher Network, AdBrite, BlogAds, and Chitika Eminimalls.

  • AdSense Earnings Wordpress Plugin - Allows you to check your daily AdSense earnings from your Wordpress admin panel. You can also use the plugin to show to the public how much money you make from AdSense.

  • AdSense Sharing Revenue and Earnings System - Displays your AdSense earnings for today or any selected date range in your Wordpress admin panel and allows you to share your AdSense impressions if your blog has multiple authors. (Based on AdSense Earnings Wordpress Plugin and Author AdSense Wordpress Plugin.)

  • Author Adsense Wordpress Plugin - Allows blog authors to enter their Google AdSense Publisher ID and have ads displayed on their own posts generating revenue. Admin can set the ratio of author’s ads to admin ads. This plugin could be used for creating a program similar to writingUp, or just for allowing your contributers to get something back.

  • AdSense Attachment Plugin - Allows you to show your attachments (best for Images) in a new page surrounded by ads. This great way to earn some money and show large images in new window. This plugin shows attachments as a thumbnail image, and when you click on it will show image in full size.

Do you know of any that I missed? What are your favorite AdSense wordpress plugins?

7 Steps Of Mega Adsense Earners

The Google AdSense program is like finding money in the street.

Kids in High School are making thousands of dollars a month with Adsense… Housewives, Retiree’s, Mom and Pop’s who’ve never made a dime on the Internet have created full time incomes by simply placing AdSense Ads on their web site or blog.

Then you have the “Super AdSense” earners. We have all heard of them… the Elite few who are on track to make half a million dollars a year or more promoting AdSense sites.

Do not be mistaken though… these people are not building like your Mom and Pop’s do. They have systems in place that create sites for them… people who build sites for them… they have outsourced and automated many of the tedious tasks such as posting to blogs and searching for keywords.

While most people cannot emulate everything these Super AdSense earners do… many of them you can.

Here are 7 Required Steps you can implement today to copy their success.

1) Starting today… treat your AdSense business like it is a REAL business and track what you do.

Begin tracking what you are doing that works… as well as what you are doing that does not work. This will keep you from making the same mistakes over and over, and you can repeat the steps that have worked in the past. As simple as this step seems… most people do not know the reason(s) to their success or failure.

2) Utilize the latest tools and software available.

The Super AdSense earners are not any smarter than your average person. I know many people think they are… but for the most part, they are regular non techie people.

They are smarter in one respect though… they use the latest tools available to them to automate most of the tasks involved with researching and creating sites. They use the latest keyword, site creation and search engine optimization tools available. The tools they use are their secret weapons.

3) Quit chasing the Mega Dollar keywords.

You cannot compete with the search engine experts who create sites for the $80 payout keywords. You may get lucky every now and then… but in the long run, you are better off building sites for the low to mid range payout keywords. The competition is less, and your chance of success is much higher over the long term.

4) Choose broad niches and break it down.

Choose a broad subject as your main theme (lets use computers for an example). From there… break it down into as many sub niches as possible.

Using Computers as the example… you could build sub niches/sites like laptop computers, computer hard drives, computer keyboards, etc, etc. You could literally build hundreds of sites around one major theme and stay totally focused. Once you have exhausted every possible sub niche of that major theme… choose another main theme and repeat the process.

5) KISS

Keep your sites easy to navigate and forget the fancy graphics that distract your visitors attention. Unless you are just building AdSense sites for the fun of it and to impress your friends… the purpose of having the site is to have people click on one of the ads, right? Then keep the site layout simple… dump the scrolling banners, dancing chickens and colored scroll bars… they are distractions.

6) What is the purpose of your web site?

Your web site cannot be everything to everybody. If you have a full fledged ecommerce site, with products for sale… links to other products, it is not a good site for AdSense. If the primary focus of the site is to sell products… let it do that.

Do not distract or confuse your visitor with to many options or choices. The best AdSense sites are AdSense only content sites that sell nothing. They are sites that “Tell”… not “Sell.”

7) Be consistent.

This is not one of those deals where you build one site and you are done. Refer back to Step #4. You must continuously build in order to be successful.

Think of it as planting a crop that you will harvest in a month or two, and the sites you build are seeds. Once the seeds have grown and matured… you will reap the harvest. The more seeds you plant… the larger the harvest.

To sum it up… utilize the tools available to automate as much of the process of building sites - doing research and building keyword lists as you can. This alone will help keep you organized and on track. Be consistent in building… treat it like the business it is and you will reap the rewards of your harvest.

o If in any 180-day period you refer 25 publishers who each earn more than $100 within 180 days of their respective sign-ups and are all eligible for payout, you will be awarded a $2,000 bonus (bonus payouts are limited to 1 per year).
* Firefox plus Google Toolbar: When a user you've referred to Firefox plus Google Toolbar runs Firefox for the first time, you'll receive up to US$1 in your account, depending on the user's location. Adsense on how-to site

Nevertheless, that doesn't mean a how-to site must remain a money-loser. Here are some ways to monetise a how-to site:

Tools, Products, and Services
Every How-To Project requires tools. Articles about the tools people need have generated good clicks for me in terms of EPC and CTR. If you want to stimulate AdSense clicks, talk about the tools needed but DON'T talk about the places people can purchase them. Let your AdSense ads do the talking.

If you have a gamer site, what you can do is review graphic cards, monitors, gamer systems, parts for a Mac gamer system (don't forget the niches!), etc.

Talk about the high quality products, then talk about the CHEAP quality products. If you talk about it, they will Clickety Click-Click-Click!

Where to Buy the Tools, Products, and Services
This one is a little tricky and depends on how far to one side or another you tilt your hat. ;) But it has worked well for me. I have had good success in naming places one could purchase the above mentioned tools and products in different towns around the country. Make sure you spell out the state or province name so you show up in those local searches.

Make use of sidebars
This has about 60% to do with SEO and 40% with AdSense. I've had good experience using sidebars to introduce longtail keyword parts into an article page.

For instance, if you have an article about Cheap Flights to Cancun that is discussing ways to hunt down those flights, tips and tricks, you can also place a sidebar listing Major Cities that people would be flying out from to reach Cancun (plus give an excuse for more pages related to those cities or any number of other solutions).

Then you'll get queries from people looking for Cheap Flights to Cancun from [insert major city here] and when they get there the only spot telling them WHERE to get Cheap Flights to Cancun from [insert major city here] is in your AdSense ads. Clickety Click-Click-Click!

Your own Google Adsense Logs

One way to log clicks on your Google Adsense ads is this small Java-script:

// THIS CODE MUST BE **AFTER** THE ADSENSE CODE
function adsense_log_click()
{
if(window.status.indexOf('go to') == 0)
{
adsense_log_url_image = new Image();
adsense_log_url_image.src = 'http://your-domain/adsense_clicklogger.php?R=' +
escape(document.location) + '&U=' +
escape(window.status.substring(6));
}
}

var elements;
if(document.getElementsByTagName) {
elements = document.body.getElementsByTagName("IFRAME");
} else if (document.body.all) {
elements = document.body.all.tags("IFRAME");
} else {
elements = Array();
}
for(var i = 0; i < elements.length; i++) {
if(elements[i].src.indexOf('googlesyndication.com') > -1) {
elements[i].onfocus = adsense_log_click;
}
}

You have to have PHP or CGI script at http://your-domain/adsense_clicklogger.php location which will log the clicks to a database.

IMHO, very usefull!

The Basics On How TO Start Making Money With Adsense

Adsense is considered as one of the most powerful tool in a website publishers arsenal. It enables a person to monetize their sites easily. If used properly, it can generate a very large and healthy income for them. However if you are not using them rightly and just maximizing the income you squeeze from it, you are actually leaving a lot of money on the table. Something all people hate doing.

How you can start earning money with Adsense can be done easily and quickly. You will be amazed at the results you will be getting in such a short period of time.

Start by writing some quality content articles which are also keyword incorporated. There are a lot of people given the gift of being good with words. Writing comes easy for them. Why not make it work in such a way that you will be earning some extra cash in the process.

There are actually three steps to put into mind before you begin writing your ads and having an effective Adsense.

Keyword search. Find some popular subjects, keywords or phrase. Select the ones which you think has more people clicking through. This is actually a keyword selector and suggestion tool that some sites are offering to those who are just their Adsense business.

Writing articles. Start writing original content with keywords from the topics that you have achieved in your search. Take note that search engines are taking pride in the quality of their articles and what you will be writing should keep up with their demands.

Quality content site. Build a quality content site incorporated with Adsense ads that is targeting the subject and keywords of your articles and websites. This is where all that youve done initially will go to and this is also where they will prove their worth to you.

Google AdSense update

Google Adense sent out an email to all google adsense publishers that they will change the default adsense color palette from Seaside (formerly known as Mother Earth) to Open Air. They say the change is because "many adsense publishers prefer the cleaner look of this palette and have also seen that a blended color palette performs better for publishers." It is said in the email that
"...*You can check if your ad code specifies colors by looking for any “color” tags such as “google_color_border” or “google_color_bg” in your HTML. If you find any color tags in the code for an ad unit, this unit will not be affected by the change."
